These are one of my family's favourite treats when we come across a Chinese bakery so we wanted to make our own! Our hand made version is made up of a soft, sweet bread dough with a buttery coconutty filling. They're sprinkled with sesame seeds before baking to add a nutty crunch.

 

These are best served warmed up, simply sprinkle lightly with water and bake in a low oven (150C) for 5-8 mins to warm through, or you can also pop them in the microwave for 20 seconds.  

 

They come as a box of four or six.
